Your first session

No surprises, step by step

Not knowing what happens stops a lot of people booking. So here it is.

  1. We have a chat

What you’d like to change, what’s got in the way before, and any injuries or niggles.

  2. We show you round

Where everything is, so you feel at home on the days you come in on your own.

  3. We learn a few moves

Light weights, step by step, until each one feels right.

  4. You leave with a plan

Something simple you can follow until your next session.

Ways to train

One-to-one, or bring a friend

Every session lasts sixty minutes and follows a programme built for your needs and goals. Most people train with their coach one to three times a week.

One-to-one

Just you and your coach. The quickest way to learn, and the most support.

Buddy training

Two of you with one coach. You share the session, keep each other going, and have a laugh while you work.

The 30 day intro

Four one-to-one sessions and a month to settle in. The easiest way to start.

A note from Paul

Small changes, kept up for years

“A lot of the people I train are fitting it round work, family and a body that isn’t twenty any more. So we start where you are, we set goals you can hit, and we build from there.”

Part of a coach’s job is noticing your progress and celebrating it with you, especially in the weeks you can’t see it yourself. Sometimes that’s a new weight on the bar. Sometimes it’s turning up on a day you didn’t feel like it.

★★★★★

Previous gyms that I joined never introduced me properly to the equipment and sooner or later I would give up … through the excellent 1-to-1 coaching, I now have the confidence to exercise any day or time of the week.

I’m lifting more than I ever thought I could imagine, I’m motivated by my PT and the gym itself is like a little gym family and I look forward to going.

Questions

About personal training

How long is a session?

Sixty minutes, following a programme built round your needs and goals.

How often should I train with a coach?

Most people come one to three times a week. Between sessions you can train on your own with your plan, using your own key code.

Can I train with my partner or a friend?

Yes. Buddy training is two people with one coach, and plenty of people find it easier to keep going together.

Do you help with food as well?

Yes. Nutrition education is part of personal training here, so you understand what you’re eating as well as how to train.

I’m over 50 and haven’t trained in years. Is that OK?

Very much so. Some of our members in their sixties are the fittest and strongest they’ve ever been. We start where you are and go at your pace.

Four sessions. One month. A proper start.

Leave your details and Paul will be in touch to find a time for your first session.
